No Ordinary Family second take
"Didn't you like Katie on 'No Ordinary Family'?" an e-mail asked. Yes, I did.
But I was trying to focus on the most important point and not just provide a recap. To me, this week's episode worked because the writers have repeatedly sidelined Stephanie and refused to give her the storylines an adult gets. She's gotten the cutesy nonsense that JJ and Daphene get.
So the writers pushed their own sexism off on Jim and attempted to address the issue.
To me, that was the main point.
And I think if they really do this then the show can see some better ratings.
But, yes, Katie was funny.
In her best scene, she bought Jim's right-hand-man a smoothie to get into their lair and leave a device that would allow her to follow their computer traffic so Stephanie would always be on the same page as Jim.
She was very funny.
In her saddest scene, her (evil) boss gave her a folder on her boyfriend. She read it. She confronted him when he came home and told him it was over. He took the knowledge of the folder out of his head. (Like when Daphene caught on to him and he removed her memories.)
I find Katie more interesting than both kids and tied for second (with Jim) after Stephanie.
I am glad to know others like Katie as much as I do. She makes whole scenes for me but I did feel the point of this week's show was attempting to address a huge problem with the show itself.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
