When I wrote last month about how irritating it was to even visit the Netflix site, I thought I was the only one with that sort of a problem.
Background, my credit card on file was cancelled. I cancelled all my cards because my wallet was stolen.
So every time I'd go to Netflix, they'd have a message at the top of the screen announcing that I needed to provide a new credit card number.
But I didn't have my new card yet so I had no number to give.
So it made me just sour on that site. They don't even have a real contact section. (And I was getting daily automated e-mails from them that you couldn't reply to.)
But it turns out that's happened to a lot of people and that if your card is expiring, you start hearing from them 30 days before hand.
There are people writing who tell me they dumped Netflix just for that reason.
And I do understand.
They make you feel like a deadbeat. I had no interest in visiting their site.
And when I got my new card and entered the info, the message disappeared but I still have no strong interest in going to Netflix.
So I do understand how you could easily end up dumping them over that. And I'm seriously considering that now.
It really does piss you off.
