Jerry White, the Socialist Equality Party candidate for US president, was interviewed on Wisconsin Public Radio Monday, in the program, “At Issue with Ben Merens.” The 20-minute long interview was broadcast throughout the state.
“The Socialist Equality Party is running in order to provide a socialist alternative to the two big business parties,” White said. “Whether Obama or Romney wins on November 6, there is already a bipartisan agreement for escalating war abroad… And also there is a bipartisan agreement to escalate the war against the living standards, social benefits and social rights of the working class within the United States.”
White reviewed the program of the SEP, his own political experiences, the role of the trade unions, and the lessons of the 2011 Wisconsin protests against Governor Scott Walker. He answered listener questions on the attack on democratic rights and the Second Amendment.
The full interview is available here or can be downloaded in mp3 format here.
I am not shopping around for a new candidate. I am done with Jill Stein and her desire to play Kid Sister of the Democratic Party. I will be voting for Mitt Romney.
However, I do believe in third parties and I will be noting third party candidates for president in my coming posts.
Maybe you read here thinking "I'll vote for Jill too!" Or maybe you came here because of that? Or maybe you just liked that a third party candidate got some blog space?
Whatever the reason, I want to be sure to give some time to third party candidates for the president. I don't believe in Jill anymore but I do believe in third parties.
Now that we've covered that, this is from Hillary is 44's "Strongest Moment For Romney, Biggest Lie By Obama, Biggest Lie By Crowley - At The Hofstra Halloween Horror Debate:"
Update II: Candy Crowley of CNN must apologize for her protection of Barack Obama last night. Candy Crowley is a mess that should consider a career as a replacement referee for the NFL. Remember that NFL football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers? The replacement referees screwed up so badly it was the tipping point that ended the strike. Crowley is the tipping point but we don’t know for what. We know Big Media won’t reform itself.
Crowley kinda sorta admitted she was wrong last night after the damage was done.
Crowley was awful.
Now on my bus ride home. I had my laptop out and was doing work for work This weird man (Latino) comes back by me and is staring. He moves from his seat to next to me. I look over as he moves even closer. "I am just looking," he says pointing at my laptop.
How would you have handled it?
I nodded and made a point to sit up straight (so he'd grasp that I was tall and have my share of muscles -- as in, don't try any crap with me) and he moved off to elsewhere on the bus.
Was I wrong to have gone to the conclusion that he might be thinking he was going to swipe my laptop?
I was sitting next to the back exit, I should note.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
