I'm not a fan of Brandon Routh's and I think he sunk the Superman movie but he was actually pretty good in this. I laughed repeatedly at things he did and said. It's a comedy horror film. He's a detective who used to take on monsters. His last big thing there was when his girlfriend died.
Since then he avoids the monster cases. But this woman's trying to get him to get the monster (a wearwolf) that killed her father. He says no but then the monster kills Brandon's partner.
So Brandon takes the case.
It's a funny movie with a unique look. I liked the New Orleans setting. I also liked the VW convertible Bug he drove.
And all the noise it made.
There were just enough twists and turns to hold your interest in the mystery/crime aspect of it.
At Netflix, you either loved or hated the film. There are 3 giving it raves and there are 3 panning it.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
