This was a pretty interesting episode. In part because there were death row cases and those always have an edge and a sense of mattering that some of the other cases don't have. Add in that one of them, a guy who was supposed to be executed the day after the episode ended, not only was guilty but got his mom to visit him in the prison just to tell her off.
Long running elements?
Will told Alicia that Christine Baranaski keeps looking at them like they're a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. He asked Alicia if she wanted to cool it. She didn't. Neither did he.
Eli needed Alicia's help explaining to a client (politician) that a photo of him going down on Santa Clause was a potential problem. Afterwards, it turned out there were many other photos. By that time Chris Matthews (in a cameo) was ripping him apart on TV.
Eli's daughter is attracted to Alicia's son.
Will asked Alicia if Peter knew about them. She said no but that he'd always been suspicious.
There's an African-American character who was an intern. She's sleeping with White Cary. A man thought he'd run her off by telling her that Cary is 'into' women of color. That didn't bother her.
But now she's seeing Kalinda as the one that got away and thinks that's why he's interested in women of color. She knows Kalinda is a lesbian. She thinks that made Kalinda even more attractive to Cary. I honestly thought she was interested in Kalinad herself.
Will asked Kalinda to help him with whatever it is that Peter's got planned against him.
