She had an athlete who would lose millions if she was found guilty of doping by an Olympic committee. She was questioning one of the people involved (a man who ran the company that signed the athlete for endorsements but now didn't want to pay her) when he had her arrested.
So she was kept in jail in the suburbs, too late to get out.
Alicia handled her case. Will and Diane stepped in and handled the athlete's case.
It was a really good episode but I could have stood more than one scene with Kalinda.
I didn't see Carey at all.
Zach (Alicia and Peter's son) was working on the campaign (Peter's running for Governor) and he found that the candidate against Peter left her website open. Zach was able to see some stuff before they closed it. They were going to go after his father on race. (Peter is White.)
He called Eli (Peter's campaign manager) who kind of dismissed him. Zach was right.
Peter talked to an African-American woman on his staff. She said that people do see a bias. He hired Carey and promoted him ahead of people who were already here, African-Americans. He turned down the minority group's request that he speak. So it was just one thing after another giving Peter a bad image. She told him he was a good speaker and he should make his case before the minority group.
That was a disaster. He was booed.
Eli felt awful. He wanted to talk to Peter who wouldn't come out of the van. What Eli didn't know was that Alicia was in there with Peter and they were getting a quickie. He did ask her what this meant, Peter did. Alicia couldn't give him an answer. I think it means that their separation is almost over but I could be wrong.
So what happened with Peter? Day after ends up being good. Eli's thrilled. Peter less so and tells him to stop being so hard on TR Knight because they need him. Why?
Because Eli's under investigation by the feds. This was their first conversation about that. Eli went to the office, talked to Alicia and then asked Elsbeth to represent him.
