"The Avengers." You should know from movie reviews and from my writing on "No Ordinary Family," that I like the superhero genre. So I saw the movie.
What a rip-off.
First, Scarlet, you're butt ugly as a red head but that may not be the red hair, it may be the hard living. Regardless, you're acting sucked worse than Jessica Alba's in the Fantastic Four films but at least Alba could say she looked good.
This was like a really bad episode of "Super Friends." Remember that Saturday morning cartoon.
Who was the main character? They had no main characters. They had no real storyline. The whole thing just went on and on and got nowhere. It wasn't a good Iron Man storyline. It wasn't a good Hulk storyline. It wasn't a good anything storyline. It was just weak and bad.
And you sat there thinking, "All that money went into this?"
It really doesn't show on the screen except in the special effects.
The only one who's not an embarrassment acting wise is Mark Ruffalo (the Hulk). Robert Downey Jr. might not be as awful if he had something to work with. Instead, he came on like a Robert Downey Jr. parody.
There's already talk of a sequel and the only thing to say to that is "Why?"
Because it's making money.
And I really don't understand that.
I went to see it hoping it would be a really good film. I can waste over ten bucks on many other things. But I sat there thinking, "This is bad. This is really bad."
It's not "Howard The Duck" bad. That film was so bad that it eventually became a bit of a classic as a result. This is just bad as in boring. You know that ten years from now, no one's going to tbe talking about this film.
Other criticisisms? One woman on the team? Wow that's advanced . . . if this is 1960. What a disgusting piece of crap this film was. And how White-White the comic book universe remains.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
