I didn't blog about it on Wednesday.
I don't think the episode was all that. I didn't make a decision not to blog about it, but that might be one reason I forgot. Two Thursdays ago we had Becca questioned and questioned and questioned by that idiot who's in charge of things who insists that Becca's guilty. She refuses to believe Becca. At the end of the questioning, she walks out and Becca gets up and walks around the interrogation room when a door is opened. Becca has no idea who did it but she gets out of there. The woman comes back in and Violet Heath kills her.
Violet Heath works on Dax Miller's team. She's CIA and she's dirty. There were little clues before but now we know. Becca escaping, Violet stabbing the woman, this was all the last segment of the show. Otherwise, we had Becca's son and that woman with diabetes trying to escape. They got off the train. If they'd stayed on a bit longer, they might have been saved. Dax and INTERPOL's Giancarlo Rossi. Giancarlo is played by Adriano Giannini. He's a good actor and when it's him and Ashley Judd, the show really gets going.
This Thursday picked things up and the episode was soooooooooooo much better. They think Becca's lied about her son Michael being kidnapped, they think that she killed the CIA head, they think she's dirty and this whole thing's part of her plot with Victor Azimov (the Russian guy).
Becca's running through the streets of . . . Austria. She's able to figure out her surroundings (she was taken here in a hood at the end of two episodes ago).
She's trying to find where Azimov's at for a dirty deal and Violet spots her and goes running after her. Violet doesn't call for backup because she's dirty and wants to kill Becca.
Becca hides on a storage thing for boats and when Violet walks back, Becca knocks her over by shoving a rowboat. She grabs Violet's gun and heads on. Enter the blonde headed man who shot Becca at the end of the first episode (in Paris) and who (in Italy) saved her when she was in the boat chase with Sloane and Sloane was about to kill her.
He's working with Violet.
He goes after Becca. But there's a bike race and she grabs a bike and blends in.
Using the cell phone on the biker's fanny pack, Becca calls Giancarlo and asks for his help. She asks for a meeting. He agrees.
He tells Dax. They think this is where they grab Becca and stop everything.
Michael and the daibetic woman are in a cornfield. They see a truck pull up. Help is coming! Uh-oh. Help's carrying machine guns.
Michael and the diabetic woman make it to the truck while the men are in the field. He starts the truck (finally) and they pull away as the men shoot at them. Michael takes her to a hospital.
Giancarlo meets Becca at the subway station and gets on the train with her. He tells Becca she's wanted for the murder. He asks her if she did it. She says she didn't. He slips off the wire he's wearing. She asks if he believes her. He does so she asks him to take off the wire but he tells her he already did.
He also left the transponder tracking them on the train.
They switch trains as Dax realizes Giancarlo's helping her.
Becca's found out that the meet-up is taking place at a church. Giancarlo's going to go inside and look for the Russian while she's going to look around the grounds.
She ends up finding . . .
Paul. Her dead husband. Who faked his own death.
They fight (physical) and he insists he's not a dirty agent, that he had to go into deep cover and then he knocks her out by squeezing her windpipe.
Giancarlo finds her. They head for the church.
Dax and Violet are at an apartment complex. Outside it. He stops a woman to ask her about people in the building. You mean the Russians? Yes. Don't believe the landlady, they come and go all the time but they use a secret passage. Where does the secret passage go out? She points to the church. She whispers the bishop used it centuries ago to meet his mistress.
They head for the church.
In the church, Paul is heading towards Azimof. Becca yells out to him that Azimof doesn't have Michael.
A shoot out ensues. Everyone scatters.
In the basement, Giancarlo bumps into Paul. Paul tells him they need to work together for Becca. Giancarlo gives Paul a gun. They hear something. It's Becca. She sees Azimov who trains his gun on her. She has her gun on him. Giancarlo and Paul come out with their guns on Azimof.
Becca's former CIA boss and mentor Martin heads to Romania to meet Michael at the hospital. He's Michael's godfather and he told Dax that he'd take care of it.
Long story short, you saw this already, he's the bad guy. He gets Michael and the girl in a van and out of the country.
At the church, the blond man shoots and kills Azimof. That's his father. A whole subplot has the boy shooting his mother when he was small boy. Paul and Becca worked the case. The mother was defecting and they were helping her. She wanted her son. They reunited them. As the son approached, he was nine or ten, he pulls out a gun and shoots his mother dead.
Now we learn Azimof was his father.
Azimof's phone rings. The blond son picks up the cell phone and answers it. It's Martin. He wants Azimov to know they have Michael.
Sirens and other things indicate too Becca, Paul and Giancarlo that they have to leave. By the way, Giancarlo kissed Becca this episode. She asked why he believed her, why he was willing to risk it all. He kissed her and asked if that answered her question.
So that's this week's show and it was really a great one.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
