That is a good idea. And I tried it at my Kroger. Only to be told it was no problem to take my check for amount of purchase but to get cash back, I had to 'build up' my rating with the store.
Build up my rating?
I've shopped there for 7 years, never bounced a check, usually pay with a credit card or cash, but I have to build up my credit?
The day manager and night manager greet me by name but I have to build up my credit?
I think I'm going to start grocery shopping elsewhere and I'm not joking.
I needed twenty over. Which would supposedly tide me almost over until my new credit cards and debit card come in the mail. I'd use that during next week to eat lunch. (Dollar menuing it, I could make it on twenty.) (Dollar menu means fast food: Wendy's, McDonalds and Jack in the Box.)
By the way, it's the 21st. Meaning check your milk. I've got one more day on mine. Then I have to go to the store and write a check. At least they'll take them at the grocery store. Even though they apparently won't even give me 20 bucks back.
So that's my beef and a fuller picture. Not in the mood movies right now. I'll trash Netflix next week on Friday night or, if I'm late posting like I was this time, on Saturday.
Going out with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
